The 57th Annual General Meeting of the Arab Air Carriers Organization is held from October 29 to October 31, 2024, bringing together more than 200 participants, including CEOs of member airlines, as well as representatives from partner airlines and industry partners such as aircraft and engine manufacturers, IT companies, and other aviation industry stakeholders on both the Arab and international levels.

The opening ceremony featured a welcome speech by Engineer Samer Majali, Vice Chairman and CEO of Royal Jordanian Airlines, where he expressed pride in hosting this significant event. Majali said, “Hosting the AACO Annual General Meeting here in Jordan, at the Dead Sea, holds great symbolism; this unique location, the lowest inhabited point on earth, reflects Jordan’s ability to overcome challenges and reach new heights of success. The continuous support of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Jordanian government over the years strengthens the position of Royal Jordanian Airlines as a central hub in the aviation industry, affirming Jordan's role as a bridge between East and West.”

Majali also thanked the Minister of Transport, Engineer Wessam Tahatamoni, for her presence and representation of His Majesty the King at the event, noting that her participation reflects the Jordanian government’s ongoing support for the aviation sector. He also extended thanks to Minister of Tourism Lina Annab and Minister of Economic Affairs Mohannad Shehadeh for their attendance, highlighting Jordan’s commitment to strengthening the tourism and economic sectors.
