Continuing its efforts to enhance customer experiences, provide an exceptional digital experience, and meet customer expectations by offering the latest internet solutions and innovative digital services, Zain Jordan has successfully completed a commercial trial of the latest generation of Wi-Fi technology, Wi-Fi 7, which offers higher internet speeds and supports a larger number of devices.
Zain explained that the availability of this service for its "Zain Fiber" customers is part of the company's strategy to introduce the latest technologies and services tailored to various consumption patterns, keeping up with global advancements in this field. This ensures the fulfillment of all requirements and different uses of the internet, which continue to evolve rapidly.
The company clarified that the new service will provide speeds of up to 2 Gbps over the wireless network (Wi-Fi). The technology supports simultaneous data transmission to multiple devices, reduces latency, and is compatible with Wi-Fi 7 ONT routers, offering a 20% improvement in coverage. It also supports a 2.5 Gbps LAN port to ensure ultra-fast data transmission.
Devices using this technology can support up to 128 simultaneous connections, providing an exceptional connection experience without interruptions for smart home devices. It enhances experiences in online gaming and the metaverse, and allows for the enjoyment of 4K and 8K video, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), cloud gaming, cloud storage, and live streaming on the latest devices.
In a related context, Zain Jordan continues to expand its fiber network to offer exceptional benefits to individuals and businesses alike. These include ultra-fast and easy data and file transfers, smart home solutions, online gaming, high-definition video and movie streaming without interruptions, running protection and surveillance systems via internet-connected cameras, and various other business solutions and services. Zain also offers the latest "Fiber to the Room" (FTTR) technology for full home coverage.
Zain Fiber has expanded its reach to new areas, starting from the capital Amman and extending to the Karak Governorate. The coverage also includes camps in Jerash, Irbid, Zarqa, and Amman. The company plans to continue expanding to cover all regions and governorates across the Kingdom.
It is worth mentioning that Zain recently upgraded its fiber and home internet network, enhancing the routing of optical paths to AWS servers located in Bahrain. This upgrade aims to improve the gaming ecosystem in Jordan, offering ultra-fast and reliable internet services, and providing smoother, more responsive gaming experiences for its subscribers, including professional, competitive, and casual gamers. This step significantly improves latency and reduces PING times, reaffirming Zain's leadership in gaming performance and responsiveness across the region.
