Aqaba, January 29, 2025: Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC), in collaboration with Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB), has launched the first skills development program in the field of cybersecurity at its branch located within National Company for Employment and Training at Aqaba National Vocational Training Complex. The program is specifically designed for university students in Aqaba Governorate.
The program, which includes 23 students from various universities in Aqaba, will run for a full month, offering 120 intensive training hours combining both theoretical and practical training. The curriculum covers network security, Linux operating system, foundational and advanced cybersecurity, ethical hacking, digital forensics investigations, and other areas designed to enhance the students' technical and practical skills in cybersecurity. The training will be delivered by instructors and specialists from Cyber Shield Academy of Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB). At the end of the program, participants will receive a certified diploma from the academy, helping them build their skills and open new horizons to support their academic and professional journey. The participating students are currently pursuing degrees in cybersecurity, information technology, and related fields.
The launch of this program by Zain Innovation Campus for university students in Aqaba Governorate comes as part of its strategic partnership with National Company for Employment and Training. The partnership aims to support youth, entrepreneurs, and innovators in southern Jordan, particularly in Aqaba, across various fields. It also seeks to empower students with advanced skills to enhance their chances of securing future job opportunities in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity, both locally and globally, and meet the increasing demand for specialized talent in this critical area within the local market.
It is worth noting that Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) has previously launched two editions of the cybersecurity program at its branches located in several Jordanian universities, in collaboration with the Cyber Shield Academy of the Jordan Design and Development Bureau. The academy specializes in offering specialized and high-quality courses in the fields of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and encryption. ZINC continues to support students at its university branches, developing their skills in key technological areas amid the digital transformation and rapid technological advancements witnessed globally.
