Amman, January 4, 2025: In its ongoing efforts to build exceptional and future-ready infrastructure in the Kingdom, and to reinforce Jordan's position as a global hub for innovation, Zain Jordan, through its "Zain Business" platform, has continued to offer advanced digital solutions across various sectors. This commitment supports companies and institutions in their transition to a digital economy. Zain's achievements were crowned at the end of 2024 with a Royal recognition when His Majesty King Abdullah II awarded the company the Silver Jubilee Medal in appreciation of its contributions to developing the telecommunications sector in the Kingdom.
As part of its dedication to empowering businesses with technology and innovation, Zain established a monitoring center under the "Zain Business" umbrella to connect 245 sites belonging to the Ministry of Youth using an MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) network. This ensures secure and efficient data exchange while protecting networks from cyberattacks, improving operational performance, and reducing costs. Additionally, 151 sites were equipped with over 800 surveillance cameras, and technical support services were provided for three years.
In collaboration with the Department of Antiquities, Zain created a central monitoring room and connected 45 archaeological sites to the MPLS network. Surveillance cameras were installed at key sites such as Mukawir Castle in Madaba, the Amman Citadel, Umm Qais, Umm ar-Rasas, Umm al-Jimal, the Roman Theater, Ajloun Castle, and Karak Castle, totaling over 400 cameras. The company also provided five years of technical support using advanced technologies, enhancing interaction between the monitoring center and these heritage sites.
Aligning with the Economic Modernization Vision, Zain formed impactful partnerships to deliver a range of digital services, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), managed services, and data hosting and cybersecurity. Zain Jordan signed a strategic partnership with Cairo Amman Bank to provide the bank with a dedicated space at Zain's regional data and disaster recovery center, THE BUNKER—the first of its kind in the region. The facility hosts the bank's data center servers (Colocation), ensuring secure data storage and operational continuity during emergencies. It also supports the bank's IT infrastructure and disaster recovery site, delivering managed services through ZainTech to enhance service reliability in line with global best practices in information security.
To meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and expand its digital services, Zain launched its dedicated e-store for businesses: www.businesseshop.jo.zain.com. The platform offers the latest technological solutions and business services, including mobile plans, broadband and fiber-optic internet packages, unified communications (UC), push-to-talk (PTT) services, Microsoft 365, cloud storage, and security services. The e-store also provides exclusive offers tailored to the needs of SMEs.
Demonstrating its commitment to delivering reliable and comprehensive digital communication and business solutions, Zain Jordan was awarded the ISO 22301:2019 certification for Business Continuity Management Systems by SGS, a global leader in inspection, testing, and certification. This recognition reflects the team's dedication to providing innovative and high-quality services, ensuring uninterrupted operations, and maintaining customer trust by consistently offering a distinguished and reliable experience.
