Zain Concludes 2024 with a Record of Sponsorships Supporting Technology, Sports, Youth, and Tourism
Amman, December 30, 2024: Zain Jordan concluded 2024 with a remarkable record of sponsorships, solidifying its presence as a strategic partner and official sponsor of the Kingdom's most prominent events. These ranged from technology and innovation conferences to sports initiatives supporting youth and tourism-boosting events. This comes as part of its pioneering role in supporting various sectors and strengthening partnerships with local institutions to drive progress and excellence in multiple fields, positively reflecting on the national economy. Zain's achievements were crowned with a royal tribute as His Majesty King Abdullah II awarded the company the Silver Jubilee Medal in recognition of its contributions to the development of the telecommunications sector in Jordan.
Reaffirming its commitment to keeping pace with advancements in technology and telecommunications, Zain served as a communications partner for several conferences and forums held in the Kingdom. These included the MENA ICT Forum 2024, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II under the theme "Integration in Innovation," and the SMARTECH Digital Technology and Smart Applications Exhibition.
To support various sectors and institutions with cutting-edge digital solutions, Zain sponsored the 57th Annual General Meeting of the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO), hosted by Royal Jordanian Airlines, the Kingdom's national carrier. Additionally, the company supported the 9th edition of HORECA Jordan, the International Hotels, Restaurants, Food Industries, and Hospitality Services Exhibition.
In line with its dedication to supporting sports in the Kingdom, nurturing young talent, and promoting athletics across all demographics, Zain organized its Padel Tournament in 2024 in collaboration with the Orthodox Club and under the supervision of the Jordan Tennis Federation. The event aimed to support the growing popularity of padel and encourage talented Jordanian players. Zain also sponsored the Silver Jubilee Shooting Championship organized by Action Target Club.
The company supported youth football leagues in several schools to develop young students' football skills. Additionally, Zain backed the "Haretna League" initiative for juniors and youth, launched by SportDS, to nurture talent and passion for football among young players.
Zain announced its exclusive telecommunications sponsorship of the Jordan Basketball Federation for 2025. This partnership supports national basketball teams, the Premier League, and all federation activities to advance the sport and back players and teams at all levels.
Zain renewed its strategic partnerships with several organizations serving the tourism, sports, and youth sectors. Among these is its long-standing partnership with Red Bull, which includes sponsoring all Red Bull events in Jordan, such as the Red Bull Car Park Drift Championship and the Red Bull Solo Q competition. Zain also continued its collaboration with Jordan Motorsport, supporting various events like the Hussein Hill Climb, Baja Jordan Rally, and other motorsport competitions. Additionally, Zain acted as the strategic partner for the "Jordan Riders Motorbike Rally 2024 – Silver Jubilee," organized by the Jordanian Riders Group, which marked the 25th anniversary of His Majesty King Abdullah II's accession to the throne. The event hosted over 400 bikers from 13 Arab countries.
Zain participated in official celebrations and national holidays, including events marking the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II's reign. The company organized a large-scale national event attended by thousands of Jordanians to witness the royal motorcade and greet Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. It also held events in Amman, Aqaba, and other governorates to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Jordan's Independence.
Zain extended its strategic partnership with the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC), supporting the 13th International Annual Warrior Competition, which witnessed wide international participation.
To continue serving Amman, its residents, and visitors, Zain renewed its long-term partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality, supporting events and activities throughout the year. The company also sponsored the Jara Market organized by the Jabal Amman Residents Association (JARA) in collaboration with the Greater Amman Municipality and the "Run Amman Promenade Marathon," organized by Run Jordan under the slogan "Run in the Heart of Amman."
In 2024, Zain participated in many family-friendly events, including the Amman Christmas Market held in Abdali. The company also supported tourism and family activities organized by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority in Aqaba. Additionally, Zain renewed its collaboration with the Royal Tank Museum, Royal Automobile Club of Jordan, Orthodox Club, Al Ahli Club, New Generation Club, Amman FC, and Jordan Knights Football Club, providing sponsorship for recreational, social, and sports activities throughout the year.
Zain continued its support for bazaars in Jordan, contributing to charitable and social activities, including the Diplomatic Bazaar for the Um Al Hussein Charity, the Creativity Meetup Bazaar, and the Lebanese Bazaar.
