The National Company for Employment and Training and Zain Sign MoU to Support Entrepreneurs in Aqaba

Amman, December 9, 2024: The National Company for Employment and Training and Zain Jordan, through its Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to support youth, entrepreneurs, and innovators by establishing a new ZINC branch at the National Training Complex in Aqaba.

The MoU was signed by Brigadier General Nawaf Al-Sarhan, General Manager of the National Company for Employment and Training, and Fahd Al-Jassim, CEO of Zain Jordan.

The agreement aims to create a joint platform targeting entrepreneurs and innovators, promoting the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among youth. The collaboration will include a series of programs, initiatives, and workshops focusing on digital manufacturing and technical education at ZINC's branch within the National Company for Employment and Training in Aqaba.

As part of the partnership, ZINC and the National Company for Employment and Training will host training sessions and workshops for youth and individuals interested in digital manufacturing and technical education. The platform will enable entrepreneurs and innovators to develop their ideas and produce prototypes of their products using the latest digital manufacturing technologies, contributing to product development, marketing, and transforming concepts into viable projects.

Zain emphasized that this step stems from its steadfast commitment to supporting Jordanian youth across the Kingdom, especially in southern regions. Through ZINC, the company aims to expand the horizons of innovation and entrepreneurship, empowering youth to contribute to economic and social development. The agreement seeks to enable youth in Aqaba to enhance their skills, develop innovative solutions, create new job opportunities, and support the national economy.

This collaboration coincides with Zain's celebration of 10 years since the establishment of ZINC, which has become a leading model for fostering innovation and empowering youth. Zain continues to expand its reach, with the number of ZINC branches across the Kingdom now totaling nine, spanning from north to south.

It is worth noting that the National Company for Employment and Training is a non-profit organization owned by the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, established under royal directives. It is one of the main providers of training in vocational and technical education in Jordan.
